Spring Baby Shower Ideas

Easter is around the corner and lots of Easter Bunnies and Spring Decorations are filling the shops now! This is the perfect time to tell you how you can use the spring decorations and sales for your baby shower. And if the shower is after Easter - that's even better because it usually means you can get the spring decorations at clearance prices!

Easter is also the time when you will find some of the most adorable pastel decorations of the year - which means this is the perfect time to shop for baby shower supplies!

Here are some fun ways to use the Spring and Easter decorations:

Decorate with bunnies, butterflies, flowers, and lots of pastels.
Use Easter Baskets on the food table to hold napkins, silverware, plates or candies.

Fill Easter eggs with candy and set them around as decorations and/or snacks.
Use Easter candy to mark Bingo squares or put in candy dishes and set them around the room for munchies.

Do a Spring Cleaning themed Baby Shower, or Clothesline Baby Shower - hang flower cut outs and t-shirt cut outs with clothespins from a string stretched across the room. Then as mum to be opens gifts, hang any clothes she receives so everyone can see.

A great fun game to play is “Multi-tasking Mummy”. In this game, guests take turns to see who is the fastest at holding a baby, talking on the phone, and taking all the clothes off the clothesline!

Whose baby is First Born?

Freeze small plastic babies in plastic eggs or egg cups the night before. At the baby shower, give each guest one of the plastic eggs in a cup. Instruct guests that they must have a natural birth – no biting or running under hot water. They can sit on it, warm in their hands, or put in their pocket. The guest whose baby is first born (completely melted) is the winner

Keep the Egg

Tie a ribbon around a plastic egg and give one to each guest. Tell them to protect it like it’s their baby - they can set it down, but they must still have it at the end of the party. At end of party, exchange the egg for party favor. It’s funny to see how many guests have no idea where their egg is!

Name Hunt

Fill each Easter egg with a single baby name and hide the Easter eggs around the house or around the room you will be entertaining in. Make sure only one egg has Baby’s correct name in it, because the person who finds Baby’s correct name is the winner. This game will work well if you already know what the new baby will be called.
